Are you a Customer Success champion in the challenging world of
Marine Terminal Services looking for an amazing new
opportunity?
Kelly is proud to be partnering with a world leader in Marine Cargo
Moving on their search for a Senior Customer Service Manager for
their Long Beach, CA -location. -This is a Direct Hire onsite
position with a starting salary of $125,000 - $150,000 based on
experience, an excellent bonus structure, and a comprehensive
benefits package. -In this role you will be a proactive servant
leader providing consistent and reliable service levels, ensuring
the organization stays competitive in the market. -Out great
partner is focused on finding a true leader with expertise in
Collective Bargaining Agreements and working with union and
non-union employees.
Please note: this position carries occasional after-hours / weekend
hours based on the needs of shipping criticality. -For the most
part it is a typical Mon - Fri work week but there may be times you
are needed.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
--- - - -Maintain constant performance of customer service staff
with a focus on growth and performance
--- - - -Review and determine staff levels on a monthly basis and
design a staffing plan to optimize labor cost based on budgetary
responsibility
--- - - -Lead quality control and compliance within the Collective
Bargaining Agreement (CBA) of Office Clerical Union staff
--- - - -First point of contact to handle any grievance filing and
prevent any violation of the CBA within the organization - -
--- - - -Foster company culture of excellence with a
high-performing and veteran customer service team
--- - - -Observe and monitor key performance indicators of service
levels and keep local customer segments updated throughout the year

--- - - -Monitor and improve gate/yard services in import, export,
and other customer service focused areas
--- - - -Manage timely and reliable responses to complaints and
service inquiries from truckers/shippers/shipping lines during
daily operation s -
--- - - -Participate in monthly local industry meetings when
necessary -
--- - - -Directly supervise and partner with incumbent Customer
Service Manager to provide innovative and dedicated leadership with
one voice
--- - - -Co-manage a team of 20 Customer Service Professionals
Skills and Requirements:
--- - - -Experience in Customer Service Leadership in the Marine
Terminal Industry is required for consideration
--- - - -5+ years of Customer Service Management required
--- - - -Union and CBA experience is an absolute must for success
in this position
--- - - -Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not required
--- - - -Detail oriented and work under pressure navigating
multiple personalities internal and external
--- - - -Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
--- - - -Occasional local travel to industry meetings
