Are you ready to set the standard for Premium apparel? Main purpose of the HR Specialist role:This is a temporary full time role reporting to the Human Resources Manager that will assist the HR team in processing payroll & benefits. This position contributes to ensure the company maintains compliance with federal, state and local laws/regulations, internal policies, and procedures. Key objectives of the Payroll/Benefits Administrator are to process bi-weekly payroll, benefit administration, in addition to providing general HR support.The Details:Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.--- Assist in processing biweekly full cycle payroll using ADP e-Time supporting an employee base of 1000+--- Partner with managers to ensure employee payroll hours are submitted accurately and approved on a timely basis every pay period, by regularly reviewing data within the time clock system.--- Collect and calculate time records of hourly employees; assure data accuracy and integrity before closing of payroll cycle--- Input and maintain payroll data such as employee status changes (new hires, terminations, and other changes), direct deposits, garnishments, levies and wage assignments--- Process employee time & attendance data from the time system to payroll and reconcile variances utilizing tools in the time and payroll systems--- Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer's--- Produce Payroll reports including analysis of employee time records, state compliance audits, tax requirement audits and quarterly/annual tax accounting reports--- Partner with internal/external team to coordinate the maintenance/troubleshooting of the HRIS and timekeeping system, oversee and partner to implement best practices for overall success. Roll out and/or upgrades to systems, provide up to date information for the team, coordinate and lead all players who have a role within the system to implement best practices --- Process employee data (new hires, changes, terminations) from the HR system of record to the payroll system--- Perform special payroll related functions such as time off accruals, retroactive payment calculations, etc. --- Generate required annual reporting such as W-2 and 1095 forms in an accurate and timely manner
Required competencies:To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:--- Strong analytical and problem solving ability--- Excellent verbal and written communication skills--- Strong interpersonal skills; superb internal client focus--- Proven time management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail--- Positive attitude and the ability to work well with co-workers--- Must maintain high level of confidentiality--- Ability to multi-task and work productively in a fast paced team environment--- Must be able to collaborate on cross-functional projects--- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and other systems and processes--- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Minimum Qualifications:--- 2-3 years of previous high volume (300 + employees) payroll administrative experience --- 2-3 years of administering HR processes and procedures--- Experience with ADP e-Time payroll--- Bilingual English & Spanish
Preferred Qualifications:--- Multi-state payroll--- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or similar field A successful candidate works well in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
