Support a high school student with complex medical needs in a professional educational setting in Wilmington, DE. This onsite paraprofessional role provides one-on-one assistance to a non-verbal student who manages communication through unique methods and requires support involving significant medical and physical care. Responsibilities include: Providing dedicated one-on-one support during school hours, Monday through Friday from 7:15 AM to 2:45 PM Assisting with medical needs involving frequent exposure to saliva and vomiting fluids Supporting the students communication needs with patience and respect Collaborating with educational and medical professionals to implement care plans effectively Adhering to all state and district requirements for paraprofessionals and maintaining compliance with licensing standards Qualifications: Must possess LPN, CNA, or PCA experience Completion of paraprofessional certification or a minimum of 60 college credits is required Candidates without certification may apply, but must be willing to pass the Delaware paraprofessional exam before starting If certified as an RBT, candidates must arrange BCBA supervision prior to interviewing due to compliance policies Comfort and willingness to handle fluid management as part of daily responsibilities Preference for female candidates due to student needs Additional Details: Contract position beginning March 18, 2026, ending June 11, 2026 Weekly schedule totals 37.5 hours Candidates must be prepared to cover an $85 cost for CBC fingerprinting as required by state regulations This role offers an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of a student requiring specialized care and support.
