About the OpportunityAIA San Diego seeks an experienced and dynamic management professional to serve as Executive Director. This leadership role reports to the AIA San Diego Board of Directors and will guide the Chapter through a pivotal moment, including the upcoming 2026 AIA National Convention and our 100th anniversary in 2028.About AIA San DiegoRepresenting over 950 architects and allied professionals, AIA San Diego promotes the value of architecture through advocacy, education, and community engagement.Key Responsibilities

• Strategic planning & board governance
• Financial stewardship
• Organizational leadership & staff supervision
• Member engagement & industry relations
• Program & event oversight
• Advocacy & government relationsCandidate Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 8+ years of organizational leadership experience
  • Strong communication, strategic thinking, and financial management skills
  • Passion for architecture and design
  • Fundraising, marketing, advocacy, or event planning experienceCompensation & Expectations
    • Salary: $95,000-$120,000 (commensurate with experience)
    • Full-time, exempt position (40 hours/week)
    • Some evening/weekend work and travel
