This is a 1st shift position with a flexible start time of 6 AM on Monday- Friday. The goal is to maintain a strong work-life balance.

This company is looking for a motivated Machine Shop Manager who has strong technical abilities programming and setting up mills and lathes while also being able to manage a group of machinists. Be hands on machines with the ability to jump in on programming and setup/operationManage day to day operations of machining departmentSetting and managing daily priorities and productivity within the machine shopMust be able to motivate, provide leadership and create a team environment
5-10 years experience in CNC machining industry, preferably in a lead roleMachining knowledge in both milling and turning required
Strong troubleshooting/process improvement skillsRun first part on New machines to ensure machine validity
Ability to train othersExperience with programming on mills and/or lathesExperience with set up and operation of mill, lathe, conventional, and grininding machinesA proven ability to lead, energize, direct and motivate a great group of machinists, programmers and similarly, highly skilled,
personnelAbility to manage and prioritize a high number of set-ups and short run jobs.Able to understand mechanical drawings and tolerances. AMC is an Equal Opportunity employer.
