Olea Kiosks is a rapidly growing manufacturer of kiosks in Cerritos, California. As a result of our rapid ramp up in production, we need to improve our first pass quality to increase our throughput while maintaining customer satisfaction. We are looking for a special individual whose Quality Management expertise can be a powerful influence in our continued success. As the Quality Manager, you will champion quality throughout the organization and bring measurable results in the form of improved first pass yield, reduced quality escapes, and lower cost of quality. You will help develop a quality system which encourages cross-functional problem solving and shared successes. As our organization is growing rapidly, the team at all levels recognize that change is required to reach the next level. You will be asked to bring in quality methods and tools to teach and guide the team to quality success and help the organization realize more value out of each department to ultimately deliver a better product to the customer.

A successful Quality Manager will:

  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset and identify and show other employees how to do the same from the shop floor to the offices of Senior Management
  • Deliver results by identifying instant impact opportunities and working within and across departments to change methods and processes to eliminate the root cause of quality problems.
  • Adopt quality methods appropriate to the business dynamics and determine how to apply methods to problem solving across the entire organization.
  • Form, coordinate, support and track progress of teams working on quality improvement initiatives
  • Support the development of meaningful KPIs so people at all levels of the organization can self-evaluate their individual and team performance. Establish system to report and publish results.
  • Improve and expand the preventive and corrective action system.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Engineering to establish a clear quality inspection and testing standards for purchased, intermediate manufactured and finished goods that are integrated into each Customer's product
  • Support Purchasing by establishing a supplier qualification and quality monitoring process
  • Oversee the final inspection department team members
  • Lead the Material Review Board and related follow up activities
  • Manage processes related to regulatory agency compliance and Customer Quality Audits
  • When existing systems support ISO9001:2015 certification, draft proposal and budget for management consideration
  • Work with Human Resources to create development plans for direct reports, review performance and, as needed, address performance improvement and/or disciplinary issues.
    This position is fully on site at our Cerritos, CA manufacturing plant, Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 3:00pm. The salary range is $100,000 - $125,000 per year depending on experience.

    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering) with work experience in a business operating under a third-party quality certification preferred
    • Three years of experience establishing and maintaining a Quality Management System in a small, agile, and highly flexible manufacturing environment
    • Expert level familiarity with ISO9001:2015
    • Strong knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Six Sigma, and other quality control tools
    • Exceptional knowledge of working within an ERP system
