Job Description:

JOB SUMMARYThis position is responsible for managerial and administrative functions in the operation of company fleet systems and the repair and maintenance of such vehicles. Responsible for managing the Fleet by providing analytical and reporting support related to management of maintenance and fuel expense, inventory tracking, title management and purchasing of vehicles.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPlan, direct, and coordinate the operation of vehicle maintenance and repair program for company owned vehiclesPrepare and direct in-service training programs for newly employed personnelPlan and administer a preventative maintenance and vehicle replacement program for company owned vehiclesReceive and process vehicle accident and damage reportsResponsible for maintaining, monitoring and managing vehicle titles and title information in the Fleet databaseProcess vehicle transactions including vehicle ordering, delivery and vouchering, as well as purchase of vehicles, employee vehicle sales and vehicle disposal, negotiating with leasing and/or lending firmsMonitor and resolve any quality or on time delivery issues of vehicle ordersAct as the corporate liaison with the fleet maintenance and fuel management companiesWork with local and national groups as Charter's representative in fleet mattersPrepare cost analysis and periodic management and operational reportsPerform other duties as requiredREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSSkills / Abilities and KnowledgeAbility to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional mannerAbility to analyze and interpret dataAbility to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward mannerAbility to handle multiple projects and tasksAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressureAbility to prioritize and organize effectivelyAbility to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job dutiesAbility to use personal computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, etc.)Ability to work independentlyAbility to work with others to resolve problems, handle requests or situationsAbility to negotiate with vendors on price, delivery, quality, etcEDUCATIONAssociate's degree or related field or equivalent experienceRelated Work Experience 4 years Fleet Administration work experience 2 years Vehicle Title processing experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge of cable television products and servicesWORKING CONDITIONSOffice environmentAbility to occasionally travel to other sites or vendor locations GFL501 292997-2 292997BR
